Shri Vindhyavasini
Shakti Peedam
The Eternal Seat of
Mother Yogamaya along the Holy River Ganga

THE SACRED STORY OF SHRI VINDHYAVASINI DEVI
In the sacred cosmic past, when Lord Shiva performed the cosmic Tandava bearing the body of Devi Sati, Lord Vishnu operated His celestial Sudarshana Chakra to consecrate the earth across 51 sanctified Shakti Peedams.
The Sacred Left Hand / Divine Power of Mother Sati consecrated the ancient Vindhya mountains along the holy river Ganga in Uttar Pradesh, manifesting as the revered Shri Vindhyavasini Shakti Peedam.
Manifesting as Mother Mahamaya and guarded by Lord Kaal Bhairava, this holy shrine completes the famous Trikona Yantra pilgrimage, liberating devotees from distress and bestowing supreme prosperity, peace, and eternal divine grace.
When Lord Shiva traversed the cosmos carrying Devi Sati, Lord Vishnu's Sudarshana Chakra released the sacred limbs across 51 holy Peedams.
Mother Sati's Sacred Left Hand consecrated holy Vindhyachal along the River Ganga. Presided by Mother Vindhyavasini and Lord Kaal Bhairava, She destroys all suffering and grants supreme blessings.
